Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

The debut album of garage punk psyche noise duo Weekend Death Cult. 11 tracks of pure awesomeness in a compact disc. Compact discs are a format first discovered by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1610. Proving to be far superior to both vinyl and ipods as no matter how blackout stupid drunk you got whilst trying to play them, they would still work in the morning. Sadly, it took another 362 years for the world to embrace his discovery as they were far more enamoured with the potato, which is a terrible recording format. People are dumb.

Weekend Death Cult are Gwenifer Raymond and Allan Goodey.

The album was recorded and mixed by Allan Goodey, except for the drums which were recorded at Audio Beach in Brighton because my neighbours can only put up with so much.

Who To Pay 02:54
You hoped for everything Love for all Touched by everyone Slaves to the tool Something wicked This way comes Take what you want from it But not what you need If you have need of this You've been deceived If you can’t see, The way to pay Then it must be, That you're for sale If you cant see, The way to pay Then it must be, That you're for sale That you're for sale, That you're for sale
3.
Burn 02:19
You’ve got anger to an art form Subjective, and despised by many You choose to hate all things And fill silence with false commentary You’ve got nothing new to say So just re-phrase the inane Cut you mark on people lives Mimic the sacred, and profane Mimic the sacred, and profane The sacred, and profane Catch my sighing breath As we go around again Your opinion counts for nothing Because you only count the cash Your opinion mounts to nothing Because you only want the fame Your opinion stops at nothing Until it makes you sad The fake sacred, and profane The best we ever had A reflection on a reflex Was that moment of truth. The ideas you have Don’t seem to suit you. But scrutiny won’t kill you Because no one truly cares We can only blame ourselves For the lies we share You mimic sacred, and profane And we, pretend distain
4.
All Arise 03:34
All arise, and you will be cut down All arise, just like we do Take those dreams and bury them here They were never meant for you And now you see what you can become And feel all of what you’ve done To keep alive, you kill it all inside To keep alive, nothing must survive Time will try to make you believe things That you know are untrue Turn away and bury your fear It was never meant for you And now you see what you can become And feel all of what you’ve done To keep alive, you kill it all inside To keep alive, nothing must survive And now you see what you can become And feel all of what you’ve done To keep alive, they fill you all with lies To keep alive, they use you every time

They went for miracles Had no idea you could that high in the rain Looked around all for miles just the same So much passion from dead eyes, oh my You need to see around You cannot hear this sound There’s nothing there that can’t be found But maybe it dont want you there Struck down like I was biblical Shut down like I was hysterical And they were singing all the way to the place in the sun Straight to hell just the same There was the time we stood On crystal mountains and knew we could See though everything, everything, everything Ignore it all so well
6.
There is a painting where all stay young Bitterness is kept away with the endless fun Here’s to the days we did not care Tigers danced with me, no time to spare And if it feels too hard to try Grab your Tiger and just fly I was a god, and an astronaut Pirate of the high seas, never caught Grab your Tiger and set sail All other options here have failed Yeah maybe Tigers can kill you But they won’t ever deceive you Keep him close by your side And run wild for all time
7.
Well, it could have all been so nice if only we got the right ones there. But once again it seems you people know nothing. Why why why can’t you Why why can’t you just give it up We were all dressed so fine, Merry sycophants having a good time And everything was going swimmingly, until he forgot all the words It’ll happen again, it’ll happen again It’ll happen again, we’ll let you know who to blame It’ll happen again, done in my name But it’s all your fault, never mine Keep bowing in time, don’t stray from the line The only thing that matters, is how well dressed you are You don’t rich by being nice The least you could be is thankful you get to watch It’ll happen again, it’ll happen again It’ll happen again, we’ll let you know who to blame It’ll happen again, done in my name But it’s all your fault, never mine
8.
Straight to the answers, ignoring all questions Bask in the glory of your misdirection You don’t hide what you do, because they won’t look People falling in love, fall for a crook You got away, you got away with words Forever and today, we bow down to the absurd Don’t know where to look, there’s nothing more to cry I’m just counting down the moments, until you wither and die No one will miss what you do, because nobody knows And that’s why you’ve always wanted, lies bigger than your sole You got away, you got away with words Forever and today, we bow down to the absurd You got away, yeah you've got a way with words
9.
You only said it I took the stage Because I am a liar And you are the same Because I love, these scars As it will always Be the same With lives so wild Who could you blame Because I love, these scars You only said it I took the stage Because I am a liar And you are the same In case we regret it I'll fall aside Because you only wanted To see who would die Because I love, I love, these scars
10.
Kick the walls they’re empty after all Take the rejects what did you expect Break the doors cells no more But we can write the story you had hoped to get We don’t care It’s how you sell it They’ll all say We need a holiday Love the mad ones And trust the bad one We’re not doing Much better, anyway

Is This Art 03:45
Is this art is it tested By the people who’ve invested A considerable sum of money In this evenings free wine Is there hope it will reach you To enlighten and define you Would your cheque book be opened With aid of some lines is this art, is this art, is this art, is this art Is this sex does it feel right Does it look good in the mood lights Would you fuck it would you love it Would let that thing be me If it broke your heart you’d pay more For the joy of feeling abhorred Do you love a single thing Or just the feeling of ennui is this art, is this art, is this art, is this art Is this art is this sex, can you fuck it Would you tell the difference yes? Is this art is this sex, do you love it No one cares anyway Is your heart in distress, do you want it Do you just crave regret Can we all fantasize And believe that you’re better off yeah?
